Frankenstein Remembers by croonstreet Frankenstein Remembers by croonstreet
I finally finished it! And I've finally uploaded something on DA again! The wait was too long!

I started this about a month ago, forgot about it, and picked it back up about last week or so. So I couldn't really tell you how long it took to make it. But it was long. After finishing the face I was starting to get the hang of it and things went a lot faster.

This is another picture of Frankenstein's monster. I based this one more off of Boris Karloff's version of him. If you look at the face it's sort of an extreme caricature of him. Anyways, I thought it would be cool to show the monster regretting all the harm he's done to the village people and especially the little girl who gave him the flower.

C&C is very welcome!

Yay! Thanks for the DD ekud! And thank you to everyone who has left comments and faved it. I'm glad you all like it so much!

Very nice. It really does portray the sadness of the Monster more than most images.

I rarely comment on medium that isn't photography, but this is too amazing to pass up. The mood you set with the colors and lighting is perfect. The way the light pours in from the top right corner gives the impression of a moonlight glow and gives great shadows. The flower look so real I feel like I could reach out and grad it off of my screen. Your shading works great and forms nice crisp over exaggerated bone structure/skin folds. His facial expression and eyes give that sullen look you were shooting for and when I saw the title, wow is all I could think of. This picture is just so moving to me  Supremely wicked awesome man. :handshake: I'm pleased you found it and were able to finish it.

Your right, this is an extreme caricature. Depicting the human side of a classic monster is something I've always loved. Not to mention the colors and how the daisy stands out. It's clearly the most important part of the piece, with the contrast. I love this a lot. Fave.

It's a really cool peice of art, but what i love about it is that you specify said it was "Frankenstein's Monster" and not just "Frankenstein" as most people do. :)
